Educational School Program

At Mt. Shasta Ski Park

Students will learn new skills and have fun in the snow with our Educational School Program!

This program introduces K-12 school groups to the wonderful world of snow sports. All experience-levels are welcome to join. We teach everything from the fundamentals to advanced levels of riding.

Professional instructors will teach the building blocks of good technique as well as safe, responsible ski/boarding protocols. We are all here for one reason… it’s FUN! This is our passion and we want to share that excitement with the next generation of riders.

We aim to make skiing accessible to Northern California youth of all backgrounds. ESP participants receive the Mt. Shasta Ski Park’s greatest discounts, making it the most cost-effective way to visit our mountain.

We understand. Organizing a group of young students can be a challenge. One of the greatest benefits of our program is that everything is arranged in advance. We minimize the hassle with preset rentals, tickets, and lessons. All you have to do is show up, check-in, and collect your items. It’s that easy!

Why hibernate during the long winter months? The Educational School Program helps students stay active and healthy rather than cooped-up inside. Skiing can strengthen bones, joints, and lower body muscles. It also has the less well-known benefit of increasing proprioception. Students can expend energy and boost their moods with vitamin D, fresh air, and stunning views.

We appreciate our schools very much and love to see the children progress throughout the season. To show our gratitude to the Educational School Program community, each season we arrange fun appreciation events that include raffles and special discounts!

The 8th Grade Ski Trip has been a Happy Valley tradition for 30 Years! Our students make wonderful memories on the mountain and for many it is their first experience at skiing or snowboarding. Many of their parents remember their own ski trip. Thank you for providing such an amazing opportunity for our students!
