Mural Design Competition

Capture the spirit of

Mt. Shasta Ski Park.

We’re inviting artists of all styles and experience levels to create an original mural design inspired by winter at Mt. Shasta Ski Park. Create a piece that captures the spirit of the Ski Park, where everyone belongs from first turns to family traditions to the magic of the mountain itself.

Your design could feature skiing, snowboarding, powder days, mountain views, friends, family, or whatever makes winter at the Ski Park meaningful to you.

One winning design will become a featured mural at the Ski Park.

THE MURAL

  • Mural Space: 12’ x 8'ft

    Designs should be created to scale to the mural space. Keep in mind that small details may be difficult to translate to a large-scale mural.

  • All supplies will be provided by the Ski Park. This includes a projector, paint, brushes, drop cloths, ladders and scaffolding.

  • The Ski Park team will select 3–5 finalist designs to move forward to public voting.

There is no required artistic style — realistic, abstract, block art, graphic, colorful, minimalist, nostalgic, or completely unexpected designs are all welcome.

THE PRIZE

The winning artist will receive:

  • 2026/27 Mt. Shasta Ski Park Season Pass

  • Their design painted and displayed at the Ski Park

  • An attributed and signed public art installation

  • Exposure for your art, reaching more than 100,000 visitors each season

RULES

  • The mural space is 12 x 8 ft. Your design must be able to scale to fit within this space.

  • All designs must be submitted by October 25, 2026.

  • Finalist designs will be posted on the Ski Park's social media platforms for public voting.

  • The selected artist agrees to paint and complete the mural by November 21, 2026.

  • Multiple entries per person are allowed.

  • Designs may be realistic, abstract, graphic, colorful, minimalist, nostalgic, or any other style. There is no required artistic style.

  • Designs cannot contain obscene, controversial, or inappropriate content or imagery and should be appropriate for a family-friendly public environment.

  • AI-generated artwork is not permitted.
