| PREVENT
SKI & SNOWBOARD THEFT |
| With
the increasing cost of snowboards and skis the theft of such
equipment is on the increase throughout the ski industry.
To address this trend the MT. SHASTA SKI PARK
works closely with local law enforcement officials and aggressively
pursues and identifies those responsible that commit such
crimes. Ongoing under cover investigations together with
the recent installation of a security camera surveillance
system throughout the facility have been highly successfull
in bringing perpetrators to justice! During the entire operational
season the the Ski Park employs security staff who monitor
the facility 24 hours a day! |
 |
| Despite
these successfull efforts, visitors are reminded that it
is their responsibility to properly secure personal equipment
like skis, snowboards and other gear! They should consider
some simple preventative anti theft measures: |
| Secure
skis-snowboard in “Ski Check”. Keep your
gear safe for just $1.00. The Ski Check is located on
the slope side next to the Upper Lodge. Ski Check
may be purchased when you buy your lift tickets at any
ticket location. |
| Lock
skis-snowboards to ski racks. Locks range in price
from $10-$15 and are a lightweight durable device. |
| Keep
your equipment in constant view or have someone watch
it for you. |
| Most
thefts occur between the hours of 3 and 4pm. |
| In
order to better assist with the recovery of your equipment
visitors are encouraged to record serial numbers associated
with their equipment, take a digital photo and to report
theft to both ski area security and the Sheriffs Office
of primary jurisdiction. |
